Founded in 1917, Ulstein is headquartered in Ulsteinvik on the west coast of Norway. After a hundred years of development, Ulstein has grown into a multinational corporation that integrates ship design, ship building, equipment production and system integration, and ship operation. The ships designed by Ulstein serves offshore oil and gas, offshore wind power, cruise tourism and marine fishing industries. Offshore oil and gas products include: offshore engineering vessel, such as underwater working vessel, geophysical vessel, heavy lift/pipe-laying vessel, diving support vessel, AHTS, platform supply vessel, and emergency rescue vessel. Offshore wind power products include offshore wind farm mounting vessel, cargo ship, and ships for wind farm construction and maintenance. Ships for cruise tourism include polar expedition cruise and mid-sized cruise. Ulstein entered the Chinese market in 2003 and now has three wholly-owned subsidiaries.
